BigHit sues Netizens who left malicious comments

On July 14 a netizen went out and talked about how she has been sued for posting malicious comments online about BTS on online communities she then claims that Bighit is the one to sue her. Later on in the community many others join in saying that Pledis Entertainment has also joined in on suing the netizens for "speaking out their opinion."

The girl claimed: “I attended court because I received a message yesterday and I was dazed for a while. I think an ARMY took a screenshot of the comment I wrote on that post [a post about BTS] and sent it…It was a post from months ago, I’m going to go crazy. If they don’t accept to come to an agreement I'm going to kill myself.”

Big Hit Entertainment later on made a status updating their fans of their lawsuit case against those spreading horrible rumors about BTS.

The label tweeted,

“Hello.

This is Big Hit Entertainment.

On November 2016, our label has declared that we would be pushing strong legal action against those who were spreading malicious rumors, falsehoods, and attacks on character online and are causing hurt and pain to the BTS members’ and our label’s character. We are now updating you how the status of the lawsuit has gone so far up to this day.

Our label’s legal counsels have carefully categorized 240,000 evidence and proof that have been sent to our label. We compiled a list of various offenders who can be punished under the existing law on defamation involving the promotion of information and communication network use and protection of information.

We will be push and request for an official investigation to the police through our law firm for those people who have written malicious rumors, falsehoods, and attacks on character and hurt BTS intense through social media. We will however, take every legal action possible based on the police investigation, and we’ll make sure they are punished without any settlements.

We are letting you know that Big Hit Entertainment will be taking strict legal measures and will not keep silent against some netizens’ malicious actions of their continued critificism and attacks on character on our label artists’ creation, music promotions, and private lives. Thank you.”

As Big Hit Entertainment followed through with their promise on suing the netizens. Pledis Entertainment also spoke out actions to protect SEVENTEEN. With that later on many netizens started a thread on how Pledis Entertainment has also contacted them on their comments. In the end many fans came out and gave their gratitude of finally taking down the malicious comments and people who have been putting them out there.
